3 pieces of advice for any photographer

3 pieces of advice for any photographer

Christy Haygood

Everyone is always looking for advice on photography.  I ask my photographer friends for advice, all the time.

There are many tips for becoming a stronger photographer, especially when you are just starting to learn more about photography....but there are few pieces of advice that can go for both beginners and pro photographers.

Here are 3 pieces of advice for any photographer:

  • Shoot, Shoot, Shoot
    • No matter if you are just getting into photography or if you are a professional photographer, the more pictures you take the more you learn and the better you get.  Like they say...practice makes perfect.  The more you practice the more comfortable you are with your photography skills

  • Never stop learning
    • There is way more that goes into photography than just pushing a button on a camera.  There is always something new to learn.  Take any chance you get to learn something new....check out some new photography blogs, join an online photography community or take an online course.  The more you learn , the more you know and the more you grow.

  • Shake it up a bit
    • With photography it's good to stay consistent...especially when you have clients.  However, I think that it is good to shake things up a bit.  If you normally take landscape photography, try doing some portraits.  Play around with your editing style a bit.  You never know when you might discover something new that you love.

Photography is a great form of art.  There are always more to learn, news techniques and try and endless amount of beautiful things to capture.  So, if you are just getting into photography or if you have been a photographer for awhile, keep these 3 pieces of advice in mind and capture the beauty around you.
