Favorite Photo Sharing Apps

favorite photo sharing apps

Im am totally guilty of having way too many apps on my phone!  Of course most of those apps that deal with photography (probably way more than I need.)  Some of my favorite apps are photo sharing apps.  Not only is it a good way to connect with people but it’s also a great way to share your photos with friends & family. Although, I’m sure there are many photo sharing apps out there, I have three that are my favorite!

Flickr

Flickr is a great app to share your pictures! With Flickr you can upload your pics to different albums, follow others even discover different groups to connect with a community based on things you love.  One of the things that I love about Flickr is that when you upload a new photo it documents information about that photo, such as…camera used, Aperture, ISO, Shutter Speed, Focal Length and other settings. For most people have this information displayed isn’t a big deal, but if you are a photographer or getting into photography it’s a handy thing to be able to see.

Instagram

Instagram is probably the most popular photo sharing app out there right now.  Instagram makes it super simple and easy to take/upload, edit and share your pictures…all in one app. I always think of Instagram as a great way to capture and share the highlights of your day.  Although you can upload as many pictures as you want, I just like to keep my feed a little more simple.

Snapchat

If Flickr is considered more for “professional” photos and Instagram is great for sharing photo highlights of the day, then Snapchat is more of a free for all.  Snapchat is a great way of “documenting” your day.  The thing about snapchat is when you add pictures or videos to your story they can only be seen for 24 hours after posting and then they go away.  You must always remember that people CAN Screenshot your picture! Snapchat is just a great way to sharing all those little moments during you day, without cluttering up your Instagram feed or Flickr account.
