About 8 or 9 years ago I decided to make a change...
I wasn't very happy with how I felt physically. Knowing that we wanted to start trying to kids soon, I wanted to take control of my health.
Almost two years later, I was down about 30 pounds.
Losing the weight was hard but do you know the hardest moment was?!
It was the first weigh in... coming face to face with reality and seeing my starting weight.
I knew I needed to change things, but before I could change anything I needed to accept where I was.
It is the hardest but one of the most important things you have to do when you want to change something in your life....
You have to get real with where you are!
Before you can start moving forward, you need to know where you are beginning.
Yes, it hurts...
It doesn't feel good to see that you have been making poor choices or not being honest with yourself.
Until you get real & accept where you are now, you will never change to get to where you want to go.
It doesn't matter what it is you want to change.
Maybe you are like me nine years ago and wanting to get healthier,
Perhaps you want to become a better person,
Perhaps you want to start living your dream,
or maybe you know you need to take control of your time,
change who you are hanging out with
or wanting to strengthen your faith.
Whatever it is for you, you have to acknowledge where you are now and start changing things up.
It's going to be hard work, and it won't always be fun, but if you truly want to make a change in your life, you have to do the hard work.
If it means that much to you, it will be worth putting in the hard work to change.
You can reach your goals, but you have to accept where you are and then move forward.
